CloudRate is an independent, open price-comparison tool for cloud virtual machines.

Methodology

The comparison table and instance detail pages are served live from our FastAPI + Postgres backend, refreshed regularly from each provider's official pricing APIs. The recommender wizard currently ranks over a representative sample dataset while we wire it to the backend. Either way, treat figures as orientation and confirm with the provider before purchasing.

Recommendations

The recommender combines a transparent rule-based scoring function with optional AI-generated explanations. Results are ranked by your stated priority — cheapest, best value, or best performance.
